Due to the needed delivery of iron ore, the grain merchants delivered bad grain to Jarnfell rather then fail to keep up their end of the grain delivery. Ergot caused wide spread issues in both Jarnfell and Valgard as ergot causes both hallucinogens and miscarriages. After a lot of shouting and threats, cooler heads prevailed and a revised treaty allowed for a larger supply of grain to Jarnfell with the understanding they would stock pile grain against normal yearly shortages. No matter what the reason, the grain-ore treaty is one of the few ways in which Jarnfell and Valgard remain allied. | ||
